Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how boomfame.com (“Boomfame”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit our website or use the “Continue with Facebook” option on it.

1. Who we are

boomfame.com is a marketing website operated as a partner of SwagToons, a streaming service for short vertical series (app.swagtoons.net). On our site you can watch free preview episodes and leave your e-mail address to continue watching. Your SwagToons account, subscription and payments are created and operated by SwagToons, not by us.

2. Information we collect

• E-mail address that you type into a form on our site.
• Facebook Login data. If you choose “Continue with Facebook”, Facebook shares with us your app-scoped user ID for the Boomfame app (we store it only as a hash) and your e-mail address. We do not request your name, we do not receive your Facebook password, and we do not post anything on your behalf.
• Viewing and usage data: which episodes you start, how many seconds you watch, taps on buttons, the steps of the site you reach, and a random session identifier.
• Technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, operating system and language.
• Advertising attribution data: the ad, campaign or link that brought you to the site (for example, click identifiers and campaign parameters in the link).

3. Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and your browser’s local storage to remember where you stopped in a season, to keep you in the same version of a page during A/B tests, and to measure visits. The Meta Pixel sets its own cookies for advertising measurement. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, but it will not remember your progress.

On our home page (boomfame.com, when you open it directly rather than from an ad) we ask for your choice first and group cookies into three categories:

• Necessary — your session, your place in the episode and your cookie choice. Always on.
• Analytics — our own viewing and usage statistics. Used only if you allow it.
• Marketing — the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API. On the home page the Meta Pixel is not loaded and no events are sent to Meta until you allow marketing cookies. If you create an account there, we store the e-mail you give us even without analytics, because it is your account. When you continue to SwagToons, we also record that your account was passed to them (without your IP address or device details), because we need this record to reconcile accounts with SwagToons. If you withdraw marketing consent, we stop the Meta Pixel on the page and delete its cookies.

You can change your choice at any time in Cookie settings. We keep your choice for 180 days.

4. How we use your information

• To show you episodes and remember your progress.
• To pass your e-mail to SwagToons so that it can create your account and let you subscribe.
• To understand how the site is used and to improve it, including A/B tests.
• To measure the performance of our ads and to show relevant ads on Meta platforms.
• To keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

5. Who we share it with

• SwagToons, the operator of the streaming app, checkout and subscription. When you continue to SwagToons, we pass your e-mail address and attribution data so that it can create your account and process payment. SwagToons handles that data under its own Privacy Policy.
• Meta Platforms, through the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API, for ad attribution and measurement. Together with events such as a sign-up, we may send your IP address, browser type and Meta cookie identifiers. Your e-mail is sent only in hashed form.
• Service providers that host our website, store our database and deliver video, acting on our instructions.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Legal basis

Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent (for example, when you submit your e-mail or use Facebook Login), on the steps needed to give you access to the service you asked for, and on our legitimate interest in running, measuring and improving the site.

7. How long we keep data

We keep your e-mail and session data for as long as needed for the purposes above, or until you ask us to delete them. Data held by SwagToons is kept under SwagToons’s own policy.

8. Your rights and choices

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also withdraw consent and object to processing for advertising. See Data Deletion for step-by-step instructions. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

9. Age

The service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Security and transfers

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limit access to personal data. Our providers may process data in countries other than yours; where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
